Some Thoughts The architect Frank Lloyd Wright once said that simplicity and repose are qualities that measure the true value of any work of art. I let these words guide and inspire my photography. I am not attempting to freeze a moment in time with these photographs. I have no desire to identify and catalog important moments or scenes of beauty. My photography is emotional; it communicates my intense feelings, life experiences and secret desires.
Inspiration
I am inspired by angry music, revolutionary literature, large machinery, innovative design and forgotten history.
Why 'Diary of a Superfluous Man'?
Ivan Turgenev published the amazing Diary of a Superfluous Man in 1850. It is one of the first literary portraits of the alienated man. I, like many of those around me, feel alienated nearly everyday from some aspect of our world.
